67th Annual Cutting Day and Horticulture Faire, March 16, 2024
In addition to participants bringing yard clippings to share, local nurseries donate and distribute hundreds of plants and trees for residents to take home to plant and enjoy. Featured are free tree seedlings, native plant information, propagation, gardening best practices, and landscaping tips using drought resistant plants.
“Since 1956, Cutting Day has been a unique gardening event marking the beginning of spring in Monterey,” said Park Operations Manager Louie Marcuzzo. “Residents love it, and the City of Monterey Parks Division loves to host it for the community.”
Special thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Monterey, Monterey Volunteer Gardeners, Drought Resistant Nursery, Hana Gardens, and RANA Nursery for their donations.
