On Thursday, October 5, 2023, Monterey Police Officers responded to a suspected drug overdose at a hotel in the 1100 block of Tenth Street. MPD officers arrived on scene and attempted lifesaving efforts until they were relieved by the Monterey Fire Department and American Medical Response.
