Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Mission: "The Volunteer Program connects the public to the City of Monterey through active volunteer participation with City programs and projects, resulting in a strong partnership between the community and the City to support a safe and enriched quality of life for everyone."

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Monterey Public Library. Library Volunteers support staff on our mission to INSPIRE, DELIGHT, and EDUCATE ALL. Together, we can make the Monterey Public Library a welcoming community space for everyone!

Teens looking for Community Service Opportunities are welcome to apply.

Please note that the Library cannot accommodate volunteers who need to do community service due to court orders or disciplinary reasons.

Contact Volunteer Coordinator, Sarah Nolan at (831) 646-3949 or nolan@monterey.org for more information.
