Please note:

• Coverage available is 1851 through 1922 and 1981 through the present. Limited usage (5 articles per day) is available (via remote access) for 1923 through 1980.
• You will need to create a (free) account at the NYT website.

You can read The New York Times while in the Library by clicking here.

You can also access The New York Times remotely from your home, work, or school. Here's how:

1. Enter your Monterey Public Library card number into the box below.
2. A page will open that contains a code for accessing The New York Times.
3. Click on the "REDEEM" button.
4. If you have not previously created an account with The New York Times, click on "Create one >>", otherwise enter your account information and click on "Log In".
5. You now have 72 hours of free access to The New York Times.

Note that once you have redeemed the code, you can access The New York Times for the next 72 hours by simply using your NYT login. Once the 72 hours has expired, you can access again by repeating the above instructions.
