If you live in Monterey, Santa Cruz or San Benito Counties you should have hopefully received a notice or two in the mail introducing Monterey Bay Community Power (MBCP) as a new option as your energy provider. MBCP began providing power to commercial customers back in March, and as of July 1st will begin providing power to all residential customers in the tri county area.
Becoming an MBCP customer could not be easier, simply take no action, you will automatically be enrolled as a customer. This is the case because CA law defaults to the local energy provider (MBCP) unless the customer opts out to another option (PG&E).
The Planning Commission will host a community meeting to review policy alternatives to the City’s existing regulations of wireless facilities on Tuesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, Few Memorial Hall at 580 Pacific Street. The public is also invited to attend a one-hour pre-meeting with the City’s consulting attorney Joseph Van Eaton, Partner, Best Best & Krieger, at 5:45 p.m. at the same location. Mr. Van Eaton will take questions during the pre-meeting and will incorporate responses in his presentation before the Planning Commission.
