It’s been eight months since the January 2018 grand opening celebration for the $60 million renovation of the Monterey Conference Center. The City of Monterey is tracking the economic impact created by the recent renovation. From January through June 2018, the Conference Center hosted 30 different groups representing over 24,000 room nights and generating over $16 million in local economic impact. That equates to over $4 million in hotel room revenue. During the past 6 months, the Conference Center exceeded its 12 month revenue estimate by almost $50,000.
