Hello Neighbor:
The 36th Presentation of the Big Sur International Marathon is almost here! This world-renowned event draws visitors from throughout the country and around the globe; this year nearly 10,000 athletes, along with thousands more spectators and hundreds of volunteers, will be taking part in Sunday's race along scenic Highway 1. As you know, this event presents some logistical challenges on race day. Our goal is smooth and safe operations for runners and residents alike. To help you plan, travel tips and schedules on the reverse side. We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Throughout our 36 years, the non-profit Big Sur Marathon has been committed to raising funds for local community groups and improving the fitness of countless individuals. We thank you for your support and encourage you to come and be part of the excitement!

In addition to the Sunday event, there is a two-day Health & Fitness Expo taking place at the Monterey Conference Center, Friday, April 28 from 12 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is a fun and lively event for participants and open to the public as well.
