On March 8th, 2022 at 9:58 AM, Monterey Police Officers were dispatched to Lighthouse Avenue and Foam Street regarding a report of a vehicle versus motorcycle collision. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist - a 29 year old resident of Marina - was transported to Natividad Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased. The motorcyclist, and the other vehicle involved, were traveling Northbound on the Lighthouse curve at Foam Street where the two collided. The motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle and struck the raised median. Lighthouse Avenue was closed for approximately 2 hours while officers investigated the collision. FULL NEWS RELEASE IN PDF
