10 am - parade
Monterey's annual 4th of July Parade is returning to Downtown Old Monterey this year after a long pandemic haitus! A must-attend celebration that draws approximately 15,000 people to line the streets in and around Old Monterey, we invite you to join us and revel in the festive floats, patriotic displays, entertaining costumes, and musical bands.

PARADE ROUTE: The parade will start at the corner of Alvarado Street and Pearl Street. It will go down Alvarado Street and turn left onto Del Monte Ave and then take an immediate left onto Calle Principal. It will continue on Calle Principal until Jefferson Street, and end there.
PARKING: The best place to park on the day of the parade will be the West Garage, East Garage, or Lot 7 (enter on Pacific Avenue).
We love a parade - please help us make it happen! The Old Monterey Business Association and the Old Monterey Foundation are teaming up to present the 2022 4th of July Parade and you are invited to be a part of the grand celebration as a valued sponsor.

At our last parade in 2019, thousands of spectators, both residents and visitors, lined the parade route for this family friendly event. 2022 is expected to be even better. Sponsorships provide great visibility, community involvement, and an opportunity to become part of Monterey's bold history.
