Slide-Marina
Monterey's Harbormaster's Office

The Harbor and Marina are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All boats must obtain a mooring or berthing assignment from the Harbor Office. Harbor personnel monitor VHF channels 16 and 5. A Harbor security worker comes on shift at 4:00 p.m. until the office opens the next day at 8:00 a.m. Harbor Security will open the office to check in visiting boats, and carry a radio and cellular phone (831-594-7760) with them on rounds.

Free Wifi
The City of Monterey - Marina WiFi system is provided at no charge to the boaters, citizens, and visitors of the City Marina Waterfront. We monitor critical attributes of use and data type to determine how to best use the available capacity of the system. Most internet users are aware that music and video downloads use a tremendous amount of internet resource. We have the capability with this system to shape the internet traffic so as to limit download speeds and resource use of certain types of data and information. This functionality enables the system to provide the best allocation of "per device" speed and information. We thank you again for your support that enabled us to complete this project.

Transient Vessels
Visiting or "transient" boats are accommodated on a first-come first-served basis in the Marina. There are no reservations. Slips are assigned when a boat is within VHF range if on the water or at the launch ramp if being trailered to the Marina.
