City Response to the Fiscal Impacts of the Pandemic

Here are some strategies the City is pursuing in response to the intense fiscal impacts to the City budget created by the Covid-19 pandemic. They include a list of grants and other financial emergency assistance we have applied for; program funds deferred; employee impacts including concessions; and assistance the City is providing to residents, the Monterey workforce, and tenants of properties owned by the City of Monterey. We will keep updating this page as we revise and develop a plan to balance the fiscal year (FY) 2020 - 2021 budget that runs July 1, 2020 - June 30, 2021.
