06/28/2018: Burglary Arrest

On June 23rd, a burglary occurred at a construction site on Carmel Way in the City of Carmel. Two suspects were reported to have stolen thousands of dollars in tools and equipment. Also stolen was a white 2005 Ford F-350 panel truck with California license plate 7T03015.

Monterey Bay Community Power Launches, July 1, 2018

If you live in Monterey, Santa Cruz or San Benito Counties you should have hopefully received a notice or two in the mail introducing Monterey Bay Community Power (MBCP) as a new option as your energy provider. MBCP began providing power to commercial customers back in March, and as of July 1st will begin providing power to all residential customers in the tri county area.

Becoming an MBCP customer could not be easier, simply take no action, you will automatically be enrolled as a customer. This is the case because CA law defaults to the local energy provider (MBCP) unless the customer opts out to another option (PG&E).
