CDBG Public Service and Facilities Grant Application

The City of Monterey is pleased to announce the opening our the annual CDBG Public Service and Facilities Grant application period for Fiscal Year 2021-2022. Application materials for the Public Service Grants and the Public Facilities Grants are listed below. The Application period opens November 19th, 2020 and closed December 18th, 2020 at 4 p.m. Applications will be accepted online through the City's CDBG Grant management website, Citydataservices.net. 

Interested agencies can review the application materials and prepapre their applications in word prior to submitting the online application.

Technical Workshop for FY 2021-22 Community Development Block Grant Application Process, 11 a.m. Nov. 19, 2020 via Zoom

The City of Monterey is seeking comments, recommendations and suggestions on affordable housing, and community service needs.  The comments will contribute to the development of the City’s Annual Action Plan for the Housing and Community Development Program Budget for Fiscal Year 2021-22.

These City programs provide opportunities for affordable housing and services to low and moderate-income residents of the City of Monterey. These programs are supported with federal, state and local funds, such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Comments and recommendations about community needs, services and programs (current or proposed) may be presented at a public meeting to be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. on ZOOM.

COVID-19 Emergency Utility Assistance Program - Available for Monterey One Water (M1W) Residential Customers

In collaboration with the County of Monterey and the United Way of Monterey County, a COVID-19 Emergency Utility Assistance Program is now available for Monterey One Water residential customers. This program is designed to provide utility relief for eligible households facing financial instability because of a loss or reduction of income due to COVID-19.
