CITY OF MONTEREY PUBLIC NOTICE CALL FOR SEALED BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following:  Job Order Contract for Signal and Traffic Equipment Maintenance 2019.  In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the construction, repairs, alterations to existing facilities and emergency work for the repair and maintenance of traffic signal, communications, and lighting systems, including testing and certificate of new controller assemblies, maintenance, repair and installation of new traffic signal equipment, lighted crosswalks, radar speed feedback signs, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, flashing beacons and fiber optic network.    

Copies of the specifications and conditions governing the submission of the sealed bids describing the above project may be obtained at https://monterey.org/Businesses/Bids-and-RFPs, or directly from https://www.ebidboard.com/public/projects/showproject.asp?mbrguid={1E39C53B-96B0-4BA8-A87B-ABAB42633190}&projectguid={646FB19E-96BD-4C9A-9FC1-2FC3D785E9C1}. Any person in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the specifications, or who finds omissions therein, may submit to the issuing department contact, a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof.  In order to respond to such questions and amend specifications as necessary, the City may extend the bid opening date as deemed necessary.  A 10% bid bond is required with this bid proposal.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on November 13, 2018 at the City Council in the Council Chambers of the City Hall to wit, Few Memorial Hall of Records in Monterey, CA.  This conference will allow bidders to review and inspect project conditions.

Bids shall be delivered to the office of the City Clerk, attention Finance Director, 580 Pacific St., Room 6, City of Monterey, CA 93940 no later than the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 27th day of November, 2018 at which hour and date they will be opened and examined.  A report will be forwarded to the City Council in the Council Chambers of the City Hall to wit, Few Memorial Hall of Records, and the Council may award the bid, reserving the right, however to reject any and all such bids.
