CITY OF MONTEREY PUBLIC NOTICE CALL FOR SEALED BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following:  Citywide Curb Ramp Project, Phase 3.  In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the demolition and replacement of existing curb ramps, concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalk.

Any person in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the specifications, or who finds omissions therein, may submit to the issuing department contact, a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof.  In order to respond to such questions and amend specifications as necessary, the City may extend the bid opening date as deemed necessary.  A 10% bid bond is required with this bid proposal.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on July 1, 2020 at 601 Wave Street, Suite 100, in Monterey, CA.  This conference will allow bidders to review and inspect project conditions.  Due to the COVID-19 emergency situation, the non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be available through a virtual platform.  Please contact the Project Manager, Thomas Korman, at  engineering-admin@monterey.org for virtual access.

Bids will be received at the designated times and locations listed below, no later than the hour of 2:00 p.m. on the 28th day of July, 2020 at which hour and date they will be opened and examined. A report will be forwarded to the City Council in the Council Chambers of the City Hall to wit, Few Memorial Hall of Records, and the Council may award the bid, reserving the right, however to reject any and all such bids.

Until 1:00pm on the Bid Opening Date, proposals shall be addressed as follows and mailed or hand-delivered to: Attention Finance Director – Bid Enclosed, 735 Pacific Street, Suite A, Monterey, CA 93940/
Between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on the Bid Opening Date, proposals shall be hand-delivered to: City Council Chambers, 580 Pacific Street, Monterey, CA 93940
