The Museums and Cultural Arts Commission is happy to announce the inaugural show and reception at the Alvarado Gallery inside the newly reopened Monterey Conference Center.  The show, Monterey Photo Contest, debuted at the Monterey Conference Center Grand Opening Celebration on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

02/08/2018: City of Monterey Commits to Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Program

The City of Monterey's commitment to healthy eating and active living has taken a step further in the New Year. Monterey has joined with more than 180 cities throughout California in the Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Cities Campaign. The HEAL Cities Campaign aims to reduce and prevent obesity by engaging municipal leaders to champion healthy eating and active living in their communities through adoption of policy and promotion of opportunities for residents and municipal employees.
