CITY OF MONTEREY PUBLIC NOTICE CALL FOR SEALED BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following:  Citywide Sidewalk Repair Project, Phase 4.  In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of approximately 18,690 SF of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sidewalk and installing tree wells with pervious rubber surfaces at various location throughout the City of Monterey.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey has prepared a Negative Declaration, pursuant to the requirements of CEQA, for the Ryan Ranch Park Improvements.

The proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study, as well as referenced documents, are available for review at the City of Monterey, Planning Office, Colton Hall, 1st Floor, 570 Pacific Street, Monterey, CA 93940 and on the City website at: https://monterey.org/Services/Community-Development/Planning.  In accordance with time limits mandated by State law, written comments on this Negative Declaration and Initial Study will be accepted from:

08/20/2019: Housing Repair Grant Program Supports Affordable Home Ownership - Apply Now

The City of Monterey is pleased to announce the start of its annual home repair grant program. The Housing Rehabilitation Program serves low-income homeowners within the City of Monterey, and allows residents to secure grants for repairs to help maintain their most important investment - their home. Eligible homeowners are encouraged to apply early to ensure funds are available, with priority screening beginning in late September.

08/14/2019: Traffic Fatality

On August 14, 2019 at approximately 8:59 a.m. a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic fatality occurred at Madison Street and Pacific Street, Monterey. The Monterey Police Department (MPD) and Monterey Fire Department were on-scene immediately after the accident occurred.
