The Monterey City Council encourages Monterey residents to apply for volunteer positions on various Boards and Commissions. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018, to fill expiring terms to the following commissions:

  • Historic Preservation Commission (4 seats)
  • Museum and Cultural Arts Commission (3 seats)
  • Parks and Recreation Commission (4 seats)

Serving on a Board or Commission is a great way to get involved in what makes Monterey a great place to live. Information on the responsibilities and duties of each Board or Commission and applications are available online at https://monterey.org/City-Hall/Boards-Commissions-and-Committees. Applications are also available at the City Clerk’s Office, 580 Pacific Street, Room 6.
