05/13/2019: Accepting Applications for Architectural Review Committee and Planning Commission

The Monterey City Council encourages Monterey residents to apply for volunteer positions on various Boards and Commissions, and is now accepting applications for the Architectural Review Committee and the Planning Commission.

The Architectural Review Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters pertaining to the promotion, restoration, and protection of Monterey’s historic buildings, sites, artifacts, and related items.

The Planning Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters pertaining to the General Plan, such as zoning issues, uses of land and buildings, height and bulk of buildings, and open-space regulations.

Serving on a Board or Commission is a great way to get involved in what makes Monterey a great place to live.  Information and applications are available online at https://monterey.org/City-Hall/Boards-Commissions-and-Committees.  Applications are also available at the City Clerk’s Office, 580 Pacific Street, Room 6.

For more information, call the City Clerk’s Office at (831) 646-3935.
