CITY OF MONTEREY PUBLIC NOTICE CALL FOR SEALED BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following: On-Call Landscape Maintenance (RE-BID). In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, all phases of landscape maintenance, including weedeating, rough mowing, planting, mulching, sodding, irrigation repair/installation, pathway restoration, sand removal, hauling, litter removal and railroad tie repair/replacement.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey invites sealed bids for furnishing the following: Cannery Row Elevator Enclosure Project. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, enclosing and providing a weather protection to an exterior elevator located in the parking garage. Existing exterior elevators and the roof level canopy are to remain unchanged. Structural system enclosing the existing shaft will be HSS 4x4 members and will be supported by the existing concrete structure. Proposed roofing system is single-ply roofing membrane system, over rigid insulation, over standing seam metal decking per structural. Drainage will be directed onto the existing roof below.
Request for Proposals - Alta Mesa Historic Context Statement and Intensive Survey
The City of Monterey (“City”) received $24,750 in grant funding from the State Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) for the preparation of the Alta Mesa Historic Context Statement and Intensive Survey. The City will contract with a consultant meeting the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications for historian or architectural historian as set forth in 36 CFR part 61, Appendix A, to develop a Historic Context Statement and conduct a reconnaissance level survey of the area inclusive of the Alta Mesa Residential Neighborhood and Abrego Street and Fremont Street commercial corridors.
The survey area consists of the Alta Mesa Residential Neighborhood which includes several commercial properties along Abrego and Fremont Streets. The survey area is approximately 171 acres in size and contains 163 properties. Surrounding the survey area is the Downtown to the north, the Monterey Visa Neighborhood to the west, the Del Monte Shopping Center to the south, and Monterey Peninsula College to the east.
