The City's Division of Planning, Engineering, and Environmental Compliance (PEEC) entitles most major private development projects within the City. The Project Status Reports box in the upper right corner of this page may provide information on projects that have completed all required discretionary review and are either under review for building permits or are under construction.
The City's Engineering Office coordinates all public projects approved through the Capital Improvement Program and Neighborhood Improvement Program.
The City of Monterey is developing a Leadership Academy and is seeking proposals from consultants specializing in enhancing leadership skills for all employees, but with a focus on managers, supervisors and other designated staff. The training will likely encompass subjects such as building effective and respectful working relationships, conflict resolution, employee performance management, effective communication strategies, coaching, mentoring, and other subjects aimed at developing leadership skills.
