The Summer 2010 Teen Volunteer
Program is at
capcity ~ Check back in the fall for
ongoing opportunities |
Are
you between the ages of 13 and 16 looking for
something to do this summer? The City of Monterey
has a variety of volunteer opportunities in
Recreation, Library Services and various other
departments. As a teen volunteer, you will be
helping others while learning new skills and sharing
your own talents. Please check our list of summer
positions.
If
you are interested in opportunities with the
Monterey Sports Center (Sports Camp, Cheerleading
Camp, Aquatics or Kid’s Zone) there is a new “Teen
Work Experience” Program that incorporates much of
the old Volunteen Program into a whole new package.
Teens can register for the program through the
Sports Center or on-line starting on April 29th.
There is a fee affiliated with the Sports Center’s
Teen Work Experience program but community service
hours can still be accumulated.
Applications must be submitted to Volunteer Services
at 735 Pacific Street, Suite B by May 6, 2010. For
more information call 646-3719 or
