The Monterey
Regional Waste Management District offers
composting workshops to its district residents
so they can learn how to use their own yard
trimmings and kitchen scraps to make compost at
home.
Each workshop
is led by experienced gardeners and a Master
Composter.
You can learn how to
successfully mix grass clippings, leaves, yard
trimmings and kitchen scraps so that they will
break down into a dark, nutrient rich soil
amendment called compost. You can also learn
more about other recycling alternatives and why
the district promotes home composting.
