   At School

Schools can model good resource conservation habits by engaging in a variety of behaviors. They can implement recycling and waste prevention programs, maintain an educational garden, or incorporate green building concepts into facilities. These programs will encourage students to make resource conservation a part of their lifestyle - not only at school, but also at home and in the future

Want a recycling program set up at your school? Contact us! We work with schools on an individual basis to try to identify waste reduction and prevention ideas spanning from Waste Free programs to simplified classroom recycling.

Our success stories on our Outstanding Programs page which includes:

Monterey High School Recycling and Art

The City of Monterey works in cooperation with the Monterey Regional Waste Management District to educate and design programs specifically for schools.  Learn more about the Monterey Regional Waste Management District.
