Working with
other City departments, contractors, consultants and the
community, the Capital Projects Division coordinates and
supervises the design and construction of the City's public facilities.

The City
of Monterey Capital Projects Division is dedicated to
the timely delivery
of infrastructure improvements to enhance the quality of
life for the community
and to protect the environment and City's historic
fabric. |
We issue
Calls for
Bids and
Requests for Proposals, negotiate contracts and
make recommendations for award. We coordinate interdepartmental
activities related to the design and construction of projects and supervise and
inspect construction contracts throughout the life of the project.
The Capital Projects
Division implements the program of annual projects for
the Neighborhood Improvement Program and the Capital Improvement
Program.
Established in 1985, NIP directs tourist-generated tax dollars
directly into the City's residential neighborhoods.
