As part of the community pipeline safety initiative, PG&E will be removing four large mature Monterey cypress trees along the lake front bordering Del Monte Ave. beginning at 8:30 Monday morning, July 25, 2016. This is part of the PG&E gas main protection project underway all over the northern California area. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the City of Monterey has prepared a Mitigated Negative Declaration, pursuant to the requirements of CEQA, for City of Monterey Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

The proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study, as well as referenced documents, are 
available for review at the City of Monterey, Planning Office, Colton Hall, 1st Floor, 570 Pacific Street, Monterey, CA 93940 and on the City website at: www.monterey.org/planning. In accordance with time limits mandated by State law, written comments on this Mitigated Negative Declaration and Initial Study will be accepted from:

July 13, 2016 – August 11, 2016

The Monterey City Council is tentatively scheduled to consider the Mitigated Negative 
Declaration at a special meeting on August 24, 2016.

The project consists of adoption and implementation of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan (PRMP) for the city of Monterey.
