Every year, law enforcement volunteers as celebrity wait staff, helping to deliver food and refill drinks, all for "tips" for Special Olympics! Visit P.F. Since November of 2014, the Monterey Police Department has been working directly with local service providers in a collaborative effort to help reduce homelesness and assist those most in need in our society. This collaborative effort, the Monterey Homeless Exchange, currently consisting of the Police Department and 12 social service providers, meets monthly to directly impact the city's homeless population by helping specific individuals get more direct access to available resources.

On Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2:08 AM, Monterey Police Officers were dispatched to the Quik Stop, 2407 N. Fremont, Monterey, regarding a subject causing a disturbance at the business. When officers arrived, they contacted Ralph Samuel Brooks III, who was identified as having been involved in the disturbance in the parking lot.
