What is a PIN?
PIN stands for Personal Identification Number. It is a unique designation that you yourself create to prevent unauthorized persons from viewing confidential information. In order to protect your privacy, the Library requires a PIN to be used when accessing your account.
You create you PIN the first time you access your library account. Here's how:
You can change your PIN at any time. You will need to know your current PIN in order to do so. If you have forgotten your PIN, see the next section.
Library staff can not look up your PIN. If you should forget what your PIN is, and you have an e-mail address on your account, you can request to have your PIN reset (see below). Otherwise you will need to visit the Check-out Desk to request that your old PIN be deleted. You will need to present a picture ID. Once your old PIN has been deleted, you may then set up a new one.
