At Sports Camp Plus the emphasis is on fun and sportsmanship. With over thirty activities scheduled during the week campers in grades second through seventh will participate in a variety of sports such as basketball, football, soccer, floor hockey, swimming and more. The Zumbini program combines music, dance and educational tools for 45 minutes of bonding, learning and fun! Zumbini classes always include a parent or legal guardian for each child. After registering, please contact Group Exercise Coordinator, Lauri Ataide at 646-3739 or ataide@monterey.org for instructions on how to purchase the $35 Zumbini class bundle needed for class (includes songbook/lyrics for class songs and a plush doll modeled after the main character). All other class instruments/equipment will be provided.

Young entrepreneurs, ages 6-17 years, will be selling their used toys, games, clothes, and other items at great prices! Booth space goes quickly and is limited so sign up early. Children vendors under 12 must be supervised by an adult. Booth registration begins Monday, August 14 and ends Wednesday, September 20. Admission is free to the general public.

08/17/2017: Musicians Wanted

The Monterey Community Band welcome’s all musicians that can read music well, provide their own band instrument and can commit to making rehearsals and performances. The new season begins Monday, September 11, 2017. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at the Monterey High School Music Room. Down Beat is at 6:45 p.m. Band Director is Kristen Thompson. The band performs at two concerts yearly and community events as well.
