How do I get on the Marina Waiting List
The Marina currently has a waiting list for slips. For more information and an application for the waiting list click here.  The file is in Adobe PDF file format, If you don't have the Adobe Reader you can obtain it free from Adobe by going here.


Can I reserve a slip?
Monterey Municipal Marina does not take reservations. Accommodations are on a first come first served basis.

Do you have visiting boaters docks?
Monterey Municipal Marina rents slips vacated by our long-term customers. Slip fee income from visiting boats is split with half going to marina operating costs and half applied as a credit to the slip "licensee's monthly slip fees."


Where can I get fuel in Monterey Harbor ?
Breakwater Cove Marina operates a fuel dock 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Can I rent a mooring for a night?
Moorings balls in the Outer Harbor are privately owned and can only be occupied with the owners permission and under the City's sublicense rules. The East Moorings are rented on a monthly basis. To see the slip fees click here.


How much does it cost to launch a boat?
The City of Monterey operates two launch ramps for the public to use.  There is no charge to use the launch ramps.

Where can I anchor?
An Open Anchorage area is located east of Wharf #2 outside the mooring field
.


If I anchor, where can I land my tender?
A dinghy dock on the end of Fisherman's Wharf is available for use by anchored boats. Give the Harbor Office a call if you will be leaving the dinghy on the dock overnight or for extended periods.


Can I tie up for a couple of hours to have lunch or take on water?
Monterey Marina will accommodate short stays on a space available basis. Call the Harbor Office for a "Day Use" slip assignment. Please don't abuse this unique privilege.


Where can I get supplies?
There are several stores and three chandleries within walking distance of the Marina. Stop by the Harbor Office for a map and directions.

Where can I rent a boat?
Several businesses rent kayaks and you can charter sailboats and fishing boats, but rental boats are not available in Monterey Harbor.


What can kids do in Monterey?
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the most unique aquariums in the world, and a great place to spend the day. Dennis the Menace Park is a short walk from the Marina with lots to do and paddle boat rentals on Lake El Estero are located close by. The Monterey Sports Center is right across the street from the Marina and features a swimming pool with a water slide, basketball, tennis, and aerobics classes for Mom and Dad. The Monterey "Path of History" starts at the foot of Fisherman's Wharf with the Old Custom House. Waterfront businesses rent kayaks, bicycles and rollerblades for a day on the recreation trail.
