Alvarado Outdoor Seating Request for Proposal
All applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM June 21, 2013 to the Planning Office.
The City of Monterey is accepting proposals to create outdoor seating areas within the public right-of-way on Alvarado Street. Creating outdoor seating areas is intended to enhance the urban pedestrian environment and vitality of Alvarado Street. With proper design and management, outdoor seating can be a great way to encourage walking, add vitality to the street, and promote local economic development. The City will select a maximum of three applications from the respondents during this initial project phase that best meet the City’s goals of enhancing the overall streetscape and bringing more activity to Alvarado Street.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Monterey has prepared a Negative Declaration, pursuant to the requirements of CEQA, for the Downtown Specific Plan and City Code and Zoning Map Amendments. The proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study, as well as referenced documents, are available for review at the City of Monterey, Planning Office, Colton Hall, 1st Floor, 570 Pacific Street, Monterey, CA 93940 and on the City website at: www.monterey.org/planning. In accordance with time limits mandated by State law, written comments on this Negative Declaration and Initial Study will be accepted from:
