LATITUDE-LONGITUDE: Monterey Harbor Light 6 located at the end of the Monterey breakwater is 36°36.5' North by 121°53.4' West per the 1999 U.S. Coast Guard Light list.

Monterey Harbor is a beautiful location that attracts many visitors. In order to ensure that your visit - whether it be long or short - is safe, the City of Monterey has developed several regulations that you need to be aware of.

All Monterey Harbor employees will assist you to the extent of our knowledge and resources on any issue you bring to us. If we do not know the answer we will forward your question or request to the appropriate staff member. For the most accurate and quickest response you may wish to contact the staff member primarily responsible for the area of your request or question. Below are a list of employees, their general responsibilities and work hours. Please note that we may not always be available in the office during those hours. For office visits an appointment is recommended.

Ernie Hazard - PT Maintenance WorkerErnie has a long and interesting history with the Harbor in Monterey. He retired after 32-years of dedicated service he now is a part-time worker for us. He performs skilled and highly skilled repair and maintenance work on wharves, structures, marina and harbor waters, machinery, and to do related work as needed.
