The adjacent beach, San Carlos Beach Park, is one of the most popular diving spots in the area. There is plentiful parking at the base of the wharf and there are ramps, restaurants, showers, restrooms and a diving store (with classes, tours and equipment rentals). You can find a wealth of life along the jetty or in the kelp forests. There is also a sunken barge and a beautiful metridium field!
