Fireworks Prohibited
A special reminder as we celebrate Independence Day. In accordance with 13-4 of the Monterey City Code, the sale, offering for sale, display, possession, or discharge of any fireworks-even those advertised as safe and sane- is prohibited and subject to a $1,000 fine.

Parade starts at 10 am
The Old Monterey Business Association (OMBA), Union Bank and the City of Monterey are proud to sponsor the Monterey 4th of July Parade! On Saturday, July 4, thousands of people will watch the star-spangled excitement of creative floats, specialty units, musical units and guest celebrities! This patriotic Independence Day parade will start at 10 a.m. and is expected to take approximately one hour to pass along a route through downtown Monterey. PARADE ROUTE MAP

Lawn Party, 11 am to 4:30 pm
The Admission Free Big Little Backyard Bar-B-Que and Entertainment Extravaganza will be held on the historic grounds of Colton Hall on Pacific Street on Saturday, July 4th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Featured bands include Operation Rock (11:00 a.m.), Pop Fiction! (12:00 p.m.), Locked N Loaded - (1:30 p.m.) and Foreverland (3:00 p.m.). Children's entertainment includes free carnival booths and games, face painting, balloon artists and jump houses. Lots of great food provided by non-profit food vendors will be on sale all day. Free Bike Valet will be provided by Green Pedal Couriers at the corner of Jefferson and Pacific Streets. Save Our Shores Beach Clean-ups
July 4th outreach at Del Monte Beach from 12 - 4 pm
SOS will have a small table set up at the base of Wharf #2 to distribute trash and recycle bags to beach-goers so they can celebrate responsibly. We expect to have roughly 2 - 4 SOS representatives out there.

July 5th cleanup at Del Monte Beach 8 - 10 am

SOS will host a cleanup at Del Monte beach, with approximately 30 volunteers. We will have our check in table located at the base of Wharf #2.
