DRAFT 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan for Public Review

DRAFT 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan for Public Review

Housing and Property Management Office

The City of Monterey's Five Year 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan (Consolidated Plan) process envisions that housing and community development planning and programming is accomplished through a unified and comprehensive framework that opens new opportunities for collaboration and collective problem-solving. Partnerships among government agencies and between government and private groups are to be developed in order to maximize the leverage of governmental and private resources to achieve community goals. The Consolidated Plan is a five-year document that sets forth a strategic plan, builds on local assets, and coordinates a response to the needs of the community. It also serves as a component of an application for funding to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) because it contains the goals and strategic initiatives to be implemented when the Action Plan is submitted for each fiscal year under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
