Monterey, CA. – The 82nd annual Festa Italia honoring the local fisherman, both past and present, takes place September 11 through 13. The festival includes a parade in downtown Monterey that will close streets on Saturday, September 12 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Streets will be closed to all traffic and there will be no parking along the parade route. Side streets adjacent to the route also may be impacted with no through access and/or parking restrictions.

The City of Monterey has commissioned ARG Conservation Services to remove the Monterey Mural in preparation for renovation of the Monterey Conference Center. The 45- by 11-foot tile mural occupies the southwest corner of the Conference Center. A major renovation will close the Conference Center in late November. News Release in PDF
