The City of Monterey today announced the appointment of hospitality veteran, Doug Phillips, as General Manager of the Monterey Conference Center. Spanning a distinguished 30-year career in the hospitality industry, Phillips has served as Director of Sales & Marketing for the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center in San Diego, Executive Assistant Manager/Director of Sales & Marketing for the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, Director of Operation and Director of Sales & Marketing for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and worked with other properties in California, Hawaii, Washington and Colorado.

No work will be done Friday – Monday of the Labor Day holiday Weekend. MAP OF DETOUR
    Full Night-time Closure of Highway 68 Bridge over Highway 1 on September 8 (both directions)
    Emergency vehicles will have full access through the work zone at all times. Motorists should expect delays of approximately 10 - 15 minutes. Sign-up to receive email notifications: www.tamcmonterey.org. TAMC will send a weekly “look-ahead” with info about the construction, road closures, detours, traffic conditions and travel options.
