Construction of the Holman Highway 68 Roundabout will require night-time road construction from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the nights of Wednesday August 24 and Thursday August 25.

The City of Monterey will hold a workshop on housing issues on Wednesday, August 31st from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Monterey Youth Center, 777 Pearl Street.

August 10, 2016: MST to Sell Deeply-Discounted Monthly Pass Beginning August 15 During Holman Highway 68 Roundabout Construction
For the public who have purchased a reduced monthly roundabout bus pass from Monterey- Salinas Transit, the City of Monterey is offering a monthly packet of 20 entries for the East Garage at 50% discount ($20). To purchase the discounted parking, the MST bus pass must be shown at the time of purchase. Only one monthly packet will be sold per MST bus pass. The intersection of Franklin and Van Buren streets will be closed portions of Monday and Tuesday, August 15 and 16 for sewer work. Additionally, Van Buren between Franklin and Jefferson will be closed to through traffic for the remainder of the week. Detours and a traffic control plan will be in place and parking in the area will be affected. The work is part of package 3 of the Sewer Rehabilitation Project happening citywide.
